Who I am
I first started using machine learning professionally 15 years ago to develop head- and eye-tracking for the NASA flight simulator used to train the astronauts. In 2012, as a part of the digital artistic collective Marshmallow Laser Feast (based in London), we performed the world’s first drone show. Through this, I became interested in machine learning for advanced control systems. After hearing the excitement around neural networks, I became self-taught and started using lightweight neural nets in interactive art installations for facial recognition and gesture recognition.
Eventually, I moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area and made machine learning my career. I’ve since made stops at small, medium, and large companies all, and built machine learning solutions for fintech, biotech, safety and security, defense contractors, automotive, and the public sector. Most recently, I worked at John Deere as an internal consultant, helping to implement machine learning solutions in various parts of the company and train the models for the See & Spray™️ product line.
